Preparing your home for a general pest control treatment |
KITCHEN
- Clean kitchen area as thoroughly as possible. Sweep or mop hard-to-reach areas if you can.
- Ensure all windows and doors are closed during treatment and two hours after.
- If you intend to use any particular cleaning product, it would be ideal if you do so at least 4 hours prior service time to prevent it from affecting our treatment.
- Remove everything from kitchen cabinets and drawers. If you wish to place them on the dining table, please cover them with a spare sheet.
- Any ornaments that are high up in the kitchen area must be removed as well. You may either set them aside or place them on top of the kitchen counter.
- Pull out fridge and stove if possible as roaches commonly hide behind these appliances. Moving of appliances is not included in our services due to liability concerns.
- Entire kitchen must be cleaned thoroughly following treatment. Any surface that's subject to frequent human contact (e.g. stove top, kitchen counter) must be cleaned or sanitized.
- Insides of kitchen cabinets and drawers must be cleaned as well.
- There is no need to clean the backs, sides, bottoms, and spaces or gaps underneath of shelves and drawers.
- There is no need to clean under-the-sink areas.
BATHROOMS
- Remove all items stored in bathroom cabinets and drawers. You may return them to their proper places one day after our treatment.
- If you intend to use any particular cleaning product, it would be ideal if you do so at least 4 hours prior service time to prevent it from affecting our treatment.
- Ensure all windows and doors are closed during treatment and two hours after.
OTHER ROOMS
- Move all furniture two feet away from the wall.
- Clear all items on the floor and vacuum or sweep.
- If you have seen roaches inside your cabinets, drawers, or dressers, all of these have to be emptied and cleaned or vacuumed out.
- Ensure all windows and doors are closed during treatment and two hours after.
PETS AND RESIDENTS
- Remove all pet dishes, water supplies, toys, and any other accessories and supplies from areas that will be subject to treatment.
- Cover fish tanks with a damp towel and turn off pump.
- It is ideal for tenants, visitors, and pets to be out of the property at least one to two hours following treatment. You should extend this time if you are pregnant, have small children with you, or are suffering from any increased respiratory or other sensitivity.
